Sigma Xi, founded in 1886, is a prestigious scientific research honor society in the United States with approximately 100,000 members worldwide. More than 200 Nobel Laureates have been affiliated with the society, including world-renowned scientists such as Albert Einstein (Theory of Relativity), Francis Crick (Co-discoverer of the structure of DNA), and Richard Feynman (Theoretical Physicist). The society is dedicated to promoting excellence and advancement in scientific research.

Election to full membership requires a nomination by an existing member and is based on scholarly achievements and contributions to research. It is granted only after a rigorous review process.

This selection as a full member reflects international recognition of Assistant Professor Koseki’s outstanding research achievements and academic contributions. We, as a department, are extremely proud of this honor.
